DGCA Exam Eligibility
To appear for the DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) exams, candidates must fulfill specific eligibility requirements. These include:
Educational Qualification:
- Candidates must have completed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics from a recognized board.
- Those without Physics and Mathematics can pursue these subjects through the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) or other recognized educational bodies.
Age:
- The minimum age to apply for a Student Pilot License (SPL) is 16 years.
- For a Private Pilot License (PPL), the minimum age is 17 years.
- For a Commercial Pilot License (CPL), the minimum age is 18 years.
Medical Fitness:

DGCA Computer Number Process
To appear for the theory papers, you must first obtain a computer number by following the guidelines provided at www.pariksha.dgca.gov.in. After completing the online registration, you need to send the application form along with the required attested documents to the DGCA office within 10 days. Failure to do so will result in the application being disregarded. Once the DGCA receives your documents, you will receive a confirmation email at your registered email address.
