
Garuda will undertake a computer-based assessment that will evaluate the candidate’s suitability for success as an airline pilot
Eligibility
➢ Age: 18-35 years on the date of application
➢ Education: 10+2 with 51% or more in each of English, Math, and Physics (NIOS mark sheet and certificate accepted)
➢ Medical: DGCA Class 1 medical before the date of signing the IndiGo Cadet Pilot Agreement.
➢ Language: Fluency in English (Written and Spoken)
Assessment & Selection Process
Stage 1: ADAPT Assessment
1. ADAPT – Garuda will undertake a computer-based assessment that will evaluate the candidate’s suitability for success as an airline pilot. It will assess their knowledge in English and Math, cognitive reasoning, co-ordination and control, flight test and personality factors.
Stage 2: Group Task Assessment

Stage 3: Personal Interviews
3. Final Interview Conducted by IndiGo Successful Candidates are given The letter of intent (LOI) employed by IndiGo
TRAINING

• PHASE 1 – Ground School
STEP 1: Initial Ground School (GATI)
The initial ground school of 4 months of the IndiGo Cadet Program will be
conducted in Delhi-NCR with a DGCA-approved Ground School.
➢ 480 hours of Ground School
➢ 5 hours of Flight Simulator
➢ DGCA Exams
➢ SPL/FRTOL Issue
➢ Education and Police Verification
➢ South African Visa
*Cadets that have already passed their DGCA examinations will undergo an
abbreviated ground school.
STEP 2: Brush Up Ground School (43 Air School)
On arrival in South Africa, you will start a 4-week ground school after which you will appear for your SACAA examinations. These exams are split into the following and are valid for 18 months after passing.

The SACAA Radio License validity is tied to the validity of the SACAA CPL.


• PHASE 3 – MCC/A320 Type Rating
STEP 1: MCC (Multi-Crew Cooperation)
➢ 16 Hours Ground School for JOC/MCC
➢ 20 Hours in a MCC Simulator
STEP 2: A320 Type Rating
➢ 72 Hours Ground School with an Exam
➢ 5 Hours of UPRT ground training
➢ 20 Hours Procedural Trainer
➢ 48 Hours in a A320 Level D Simulator including LOFT, Skills Tests and
AWO/LVTO
